Possible definitions for bimodality
modality
Properties of propositions such as necessity, contingency, possibility, and impossibility, as opposed to truth and falsity. Thus, the propositions "Some humans may be immortal" and "Humans are necessarily social animals" are modal propositions. Though modal syllogisms were considered by Aristotle, modal logic remains today a somewhat controversial field. See also deontic logic.
